TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW & RULES

The QQChess International Open 1800 and Above FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2026 is an officially recognized FIDE rated classical championship. It is open to all players having a minimum active FIDE rating of 1800 or a peak rating of 1800 & above within 36 months of the start of the tournament.

FIDE ID Requirement:	Mandatory for all players. No unrated or non-FIDE ID registrations permitted.
Time Control:	90 Minutes + 30 Seconds increment per move from move 1.
System of Play:	Swiss System • 9 Rounds under FIDE Laws of Chess.

Official Entry Fee Structure

Goa residents and Non-Goa players have separate entry fee structures. An Early Bird discount of ₹500 applies for entries completed on or before 30 September 2026.

Important Instructions

All Indian players must have a valid AICF registration for the year 2026-2027.
Default time (walkover time) will be 15 minutes from the scheduled start of the round.
Electronic devices including smartphones, wristwatches, and bluetooth earpieces are strictly prohibited inside the playing area.
No refund of entry fee after successful payment.
